| Autumn term 2009 Newsletter
It’s not long now until the Splodgers term begins and we’re all back into a routine; whether or not we want to is another matter, we know! We hope you have all had lovely summer holidays but are feeling ready to don the painting aprons, resume the scissor stance and start to explore and get creative again. At the time of sending this email there’s no news from Dawn, but hopefully it won’t be long. Below is the information you need to know for this term of Splodgers. As you can see it’s action packed and we’re hitting the ground running (or should that be slithering? see week 1!) | Artful Splodgers
Artful Splodgers (@18 months - 5 years) Wednesday 9:45 – 10:45 and 11:00 – 12:00 If you know that you will be away on holiday or work shifts, have a chat with us and we can discount those weeks for you, but sorry, we are unable to give refunds retrospectively. Dates and themes for the next term of Splodgers Activities to include: Bird pinecone feeder, putty, lanterns, firework tube, purple and orange sand, Rangoli patterns, snow, smelly and shiny milk paint, masks, floor people, Aqua play, porridge, teddy bear puppet, sandwiches and cakes, painting window, rubbery dubbery dough, Arctic world, collage, planting, clay, snow, printing and paint mixing, Humpty dumpty finger puppet, Christmas cards, paper plate angel, tree biscuits, pipes and pumps, glitter and fluorescent paint, paper cup snakes, Humpty Dumpty world, envelope crown, popcorn, hammer collage, clown’s hat, Autumn leaf wreath, carrot dough, orange juicing, magic maize,…as well as the usual painting, art and messy play activities! |
Tiny Splodgers
Tiny Splodgers (@9 months – 18 months) Friday 11:00 – 12:00 Sessions cost £2, payable on the day. Tiny Splodgers sessions are loosely based on our regular sessions but the activities are all at ground level and have been tweaked to make sure they are safe and appropriate for older babies and younger toddlers. They do not have to be pre-booked as we know at this age routines can vary from day to day. Dates and themes for the next term of Splodgers Activities to include: Cereal, gloop, clay, Pudsey bear painting, jelly, sand, shiny milk paint, washing up, baked beans & spaghetti, bread dough, pasta, porridge oats dough, felts, Grandparents’ day cards, hay, Aquaplay, sand dough, compost, chalk and pastels, angel delight, orange and purple sand, cous cous dough, carrot paint, crayons, smelly paint, porridge, Artic world, pastry, shredded paper & tinsel, bubbles, ice cream, glitter paint , custard, Christmas cards….As well as the all the usual water activities and sensory baskets! |
| Parties!
Good news, we will be resuming our parties from October. If your little one is having a birthday soon, why not consider an Artful Splodgers Party? You and your child are able to choose from their favourite activities from the weekly sessions as well as some crafts to make and take home. Early booking is advised, we can arrange parties at the Fleet Arts hall or you’re welcome to arrange your own venue. Prices start at £6.75 a child. Please ask us for a party leaflet which has more information. |

| Children in Need
Our Goldilocks session (18th and 20th November) will incorporate fundraising for this popular appeal. For every child who attends Artful Splodgers and Tiny Splodgers that week, we will donate £1 to the Children in Need Appeal. We’ll have a collection box for those of you who wish to make an extra contribution. |

We’re on the hunt for kitchen rolls so if you can bring any in we would be so grateful. |
