June 2009 newsletter

Gosh, we can’t believe that another half term has been and gone, it’s really flown by. We’ve got a lot of great themes planned for this half term and some new crafts and activities which we hope everyone will enjoy. The shopping is almost done and we can’t wait to get started! As ever, if you have any suggestions for new toys and equipment or comments about how the sessions are run then please do let us know as we value your opinions. Thanks to the many people who have offered their help in our sessions for the next half term, as Gill takes some maternity leave to have her second baby. Freya Fowles will be giving us a hand on Friday mornings until the summer holiday, so please do say hello to her as she trains up in the necessary skill of tuff spot cleaning. Dawn and Gill

Artful Splodgers

Artful Splodgers (@18 months - 5 years)

Wednesday 9:45 – 10:45 & 11:00 – 12:00
Friday 9:45 – 10:45

This half-term will cost £23.10 (6 weeks) or sign up for a full term for just £42 (12 weeks, includes a discount). If you know that you will be away on holiday or work shifts, have a chat with us and we can discount those weeks for you we are unable to give refunds retrospectively.

Activities to include:
Crepe paper painting, Rock Pools, Sand dough, Bug World, On the Beach, Salad spinner painting, Seaside cake, Shaving foam, Flour, Car painting, Fish collage, Card spinners, Ice cream cone, Hammer collage, Paddling pool painting, Tie cards, Sea life Stamps, Butterfly painting, Bread dough, Peas, Ladybird biscuit, Cereal Owl, Ice cream, Puffy paint, Boat and Bus making, Dragonflies, Flip flops, Ice lolly paints …as well as the usual painting, art, messy play activities.

Tiny Splodgers

Tiny Splodgers (@ 9 months – 18 months)

Friday 11:00 – 12:00

Sessions cost £2, payable on the day. Tiny Splodgers sessions are loosely based on our regular sessions but the activities are all at ground level and have been tweaked to make sure they are safe and appropriate for older babies and younger toddlers.

Last Tiny Splodger session this term Friday 10th July. Sessions resume Friday September 18th. If we have your email address we will send you a reminder nearer the time.

If your little one is coming up for 18 months why not consider a taster session for Artful Splodgers starting in September? Please speak to Dawn or Gill to book a place on your preferred day and time to avoid disappointment.

Good news

We will be resuming our parties from October. If your little one is having a birthday, why not consider an Artful Splodgers Party? You and your child are able to choose from their favourite activities from the weekly sessions as well as some crafts to make and take home. Our parties are created individually for you and prices start at £6.75 a head. We’re also able to travel to other suitable venues. Please ask us for a party leaflet which has more information.
